FDA yearbook

The FDA yearbook show the amount of gross profit made by each gender with their top 3 most popular films. In 2010, the highest gross profit made was from the Action & Adventure genre. Suspense was one of the three genres with the lowest gross profits. Here is the classification from highest gross to lowest gross profit by genre:

Although genres such as 'Animation' and 'Fantasy' produced a smaller number of films (26 films and 5 films), they still made a higher gross profit than Suspense which produced 38 films. I suggest that the reason why such genres (Action & Adventure, Musical, Animation) are more popular is because they have a broader audience due to their content. Suspense has a more restricted audience.

The suspense top 3 of 2010 were 'Shutter Island' 'The Town' and 'The Wolfman'.
Together they produced a gross of £42,441,123.
